This segment starts at the moment my cyclist shows up and we make the hand off of the “timing chip”. After doing so, we then have to run across the bridge and down to our boat, which was staged earlier in the morning, so you must remember your boat placement. After getting into my boat, I speed this video clip up 4 times normal speed, as its not the most excitng video to watch, especially because Im out there on the water pretty much to myself. I do get passed 7 times, but they are using v-hull rowing type boats (HUKI), and I am rowing a flat bottom boat made for diving. (ROYAK) I ended up crossong the finish line 15th overall, but 1st in the Sit On Top division. Please see “Eppie’s Great Race – 2010 – Pt. 3 for my arrival to the finish line.

More Socks on the Beach: I played around with different views and angles of me walking on the wet sand and through the waves. I had some brand new ankle socks on but it is difficult to tell this because I got them so dirty a little bit earlier. I decided one day to go to the local park with a lake to relax and check it out. I founds this somewhat secluded spot and stayed for a few hours. That day, I walked through the water with my socks and shoes on and got them a bit muddy. I even went swimming with my clothes on. I always wanted to walk down a beach with my socks on, even if they fill up with sand. Just the feel of the soft sand and soothing wetness was great. I tried to get these socks as dirty as I could from the lake’s sand, but the results were disappointing. I need to find some mud sands next time, but I found dirt and made my own mud… This is one video of about six or seven vids of me at the lake. Stay tuned to more as I edit and upload them.
